Works with light skin and darker skin types. And skin can be treated when tanned. Perfect during the summer months!
Permanent Hair Reduction:
Removes 70-90% of the hair in the treated areas.
Quick Treatment Times
With the slide and glide technique, the treatments can take minimal time.
Reduces Hair Density and Thickness.
Laser hair removal targets the pigment in hair follicles, damaging them to reduce hair growth over time. This damage not only decreases the number of hairs but also causes the remaining hairs to grow back thinner and finer, leading to an overall reduction in hair thickness.
Help with ingrowing hairs
Laser hair removal effectively treats ingrown hairs by destroying the hair follicle, preventing future hair growth that can curl back into the skin. This process also reduces skin irritation and bumps associated with ingrown hairs, leading to smoother skin.
Boosts Confidence and Comfort:
By permanently removing unwanted hair, electrolysis can significantly boost self-confidence and comfort, eliminating the need for regular shaving, waxing, or plucking.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Laser Hair removal work?
Laser uses selected wavelengths of low energy light rapidly pulsed onto the skin to gently heat the target hair follicles to cause terminal damage and prevent hair regrowth. Endorsed by leading medical experts the SMARTDiode laser is safe and highly effective in the treatment of permanent hair reduction.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend a minimum of 6 treatments, with some hair types requiring more. The average for a successful program is 8 – 10 treatments. It is so important to complete all treatments for optimum results.
What is the after care for laser?
After the treatment you must ensure you take the following precautions for the next 24/48 hours after, so your skin can heal properly.
Avoid sunbathing or any other heat treatments (e.g. saunas, sunbeds, steam
bath).
Avoid hot baths or showers.
Avoid swimming.
Avoid applying make-up to the treated area.
Avoid applying soap or perfumed products to the treated area.
Avoid wearing tight clothing over treated body areas.
How much will it cost?
Treatments are by area: lip, chin, underarms, etc. Please check the price list for the areas treated. You can pay as you are treated, pay for a course of treatments, or offer payment plans. Please look at the price list for the costs.
How long does the hair have to be?
The hair can be kept however you want in between treatments so long as only shaving is used and must be close shaved before the treatment session.
I've had laser before, do I have to have a consultation?
Yes, at Positive Skin, we prioritize your health, safety, and insurance requirements, which is why a consultation is always necessary before any treatment is provided. This vital step ensures that we deliver the best possible treatment tailored to your specific needs.
Does laser work on all hair and skin colours?
All skin types can be treated with our laser! The SMARTDiode technology of low-energy pulses is successful in treating both dark and fair skin types and for both males and females.
Fair hair, however, contains less melanin, so it is harder to treat. Grey/white hair has no melanin, so it is not suitable for treatment.
Can I have treatment while I have a cold sore breakout?
No, it is not recommended to have any treatments while you have an active cold sore and you must wait until it is healed. If you have a history of cold sores, it may be an idea to take an anit-viral medication to prevent them, as the laser can encourage cold sores.
What can I do with the hair in between treatments?
The hair must not leave the hair follicle. In between treatments cutting or shaving is recommended. You must not wax or tweeze, this can hinder the treatments and it can take longer for the hair to go.
How old do I have to be to have laser hair removal?
18 years or older, as under 18 your body is undergoing lots of hormonal changes and may mean that the treatment will be ineffective as the body hair may grow back.
Can you guarantee 100% that you can get rid of all hair?
No-one can ever give you a 100% guarantee that no hair regrowth will occur following Laser hair removal. We would advise caution before using any clinic that claims otherwise. However we stand behind our experience of permanently reducing the hairs we treat.
What will I see after the treatment?
The hair follicles are damaged by heat, but the hair remains in the follicles. The dead hairs shed after 1 – 3 weeks as the epidermis renews. During this period, the hairs will seem to ‘grow’ as the new growth pushes them out.
